About the Position
The Executive Manager – Clinical Governance is a newly created, strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of Palm Lake Care’s clinical governance systems, ensuring consistent, high-quality clinical practice across all communities. The position will provide expert leadership in clinical governance, strengthen workforce capability, and support continuous improvement aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards and the Aged Care Act.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and enacting the Clinical Governance Framework, chairing the Clinical Governance Committee and Quality of Care Advisory Body, and overseeing the effectiveness of electronic care systems, incident management, and the Serious Incident Response Scheme. The role collaborates closely with quality, operations, and executive leaders to ensure clinical practices reflect resident choice, dignity, and person-centred care, while also driving proactive risk management and compliance.
This is a highly visible leadership role that will mentor clinical managers, lead professional development workshops, and provide expert guidance on policy, audit response, complaints management, and clinical indicators. The position also plays a key role in monitoring clinical budgets and informing medical equipment purchasing decisions.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of clinical governance in a values-driven and forward-thinking aged care organisation.
About the Person
You will be an experienced clinical governance leader with strong credentials in aged care, health, or human services, and a deep understanding of contemporary clinical quality and safety frameworks. Holding APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse, you bring significant experience working at a senior or executive level, ideally in multi-site environments, and have led the development and implementation of clinical governance systems and processes. You are collaborative, values-driven, and confident in interpreting and responding to complex clinical risks and regulatory requirements. Importantly, you are passionate about safe, high-quality, and respectful care that empowers both residents and staff.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing executive team and shape the future of clinical governance across an innovative, family-owned provider with a genuine commitment to excellence.
