Our client is an established brand in the fresh produce space with a growing footprint across Australia. They are passionate about sustainability, innovation, and delivering premium fresh food to market. With a values-led culture and a focus on high performance, they offer a collaborative and flexible work environment. Due to internal movement and business growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join the team on a 6-month contract, with strong potential for permanency.
The Role
This role will see you partner closely with the Sales and Marketing teams. Initially, the focus will be on owning the month-end process, with the role evolving into a more commercially facing position as it transitions into a permanent role. You'll be able to drive better strategic decision-making and develop your commercial business partnering with a broad range of non-finance stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver timely and accurate month-end reporting, including accruals and variance analysis
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to manage trade spend and marketing budgets
- Analyse ROI on promotions and marketing campaigns, driving insights to improve performance
- Work with large data sets to support pricing and product reconciliation
- Improve forecasting processes and work cross-functionally to drive cost efficiency
- Contribute to process improvement across reporting and budgeting tools
You are a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional with a hands-on approach and excellent communication skills. You’re not afraid to get into the weeds, but you also know how to translate numbers for non-finance stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; CPA/CA preferred
- 3–5 years’ experience in accounting/finance roles, with a strong FMCG or Retail background (essential)
- Solid experience in Power BI and Power Query
- Exposure to pricing and product reconciliations
- Ability to work in an evolving, fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Immediately Available or In short notice
