Our client is a growing, household FMCG company that has gone through exponential growth in recent years'. As they continue to grow and expand, there is now an opportunity for a highly talented commercial finance candidate to join the business as their key partner to the Sales & Marketing team.

The Finance Analyst supports the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function by providing actionable financial insights to drive performance and strategic decision-making.
This role is responsible for financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and the development of tools to improve financial planning processes.

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for: 
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly financial performance analysis, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario planning, and business case evaluations.
  • Prepare and deliver management reports, dashboards, and presentations with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with business units to provide financial support for strategic initiatives and commercial projects.
  • Analyse key drivers of business performance, trends, and KPIs.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data by performing reconciliations and data validation.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting tools and planning processes.
  • Collaborate on cost control, pricing analysis, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with capital expenditure assessments and investment appraisals

The ideal candidate:
  • Working towards CPA, min 3 years experience
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Exposure to both financial and management accounting in a broader business
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the planning and forecasting process across revenue, costs, working capital and cashflow (including the links within the 3-way model)
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Ability to analyse business performance and draw conclusions to drive business performance
  • Problem solving, decision-making, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Teamwork with the ability to work teams across sites
  • Flexibility and resilience with the ability to cope with changes within a growing business
