About the Role
This position will provide analytical and decision support for the program with the overall aim to drive value for the health service.  You will work with the Manager, Business Partnering to drive improvements in strategic decision making across the Program.  You will work with staff within the clinical program and across other parts of the organisation to understand financial drivers, identify opportunities for efficiencies and to assist with the development of business cases.  You will review financial and activity data with an aim to develop strategies and solutions to address operational issues and will provide financial support for the program. You will use your knowledge of analytical techniques and available data in the public health sector to drive improved understand of financial performance. In additional, you will develop solid relationships with senior operational staff to help ensure finance is considered a true business partner of the operational units. 

Duties
  • Lead annual budget setting for the project 
  • Monitor and report financial and activity performance against targets, provide, understand and utilise a variety of data sources to support sound decision making.
  • Provide financial modelling where necessary
  • Support capital expenditure planning and forecasting as well as business cases for capital expenditure.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of project business plans
  • Provide advice to support project activities 
  • Help to evaluate tenders and benchmarking data by providing costing analysis and financial evaluation. Ensure compliance with delegations of authority and accounting policies.
  • Provide commercial expertise to project leadership team
Skills and Experience
You will have a passion for working for a large and complex health organisation. With experience gained in a large organisation, you are comfortable partnering with senior non-financial stakeholders using top tier verbal and written communication and have demonstrated business partnering experience in your career to date. CA / CPA qualified, you will have strong excel skills and an ambition to progress your career in public health.
