My client is a leading healthcare provider here in Melbourne and with a high profile presence in the market, they are seeking a technical strong Financial Controller with outstanding leadership skills to manage their growing finance team.
The role
Reporting directly into the Head of Finance your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Liaise with senior management to develop operating and capital expenditure budgets in accordance with agreed timetables and entry of budget data into the accounting system.
- Reviewing financial budgeting and forecasting as part of end of month processing and complete analysis to support the presentation of financial results including the preparation of the Finance Report
- Identifying key metrics utilising a visual management system to ensure key metrics are displayed in a dynamic environment.
- Annual and monthly budget development
- Monthly forecasting – Liaising with relevant stakeholders to complete rolling forecast
- Develop a key understanding of current operational and financial systems
- • Support and develop open and transparent lines of communication with Stakeholders across the organisation including participating in individual and divisional meetings, and by email and other
regular interpersonal communication - Assist with the year-end audit and deliverables working with the Victorian Auditor General’s Office.
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with in-depth experience working within a large business (Not for profit experience would also be advantageous). It is essential that you have the ability to work towards deadlines, have experience in preparation and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Experience using Oracle will be advantageous
