Accountability
This position reports to the CFO of TasFoods Limited and is a full‐time position located at the Nichols Poultry site – 380 Chapel Road, Sassafras, Tasmania.
A minimum of 3 days per week, working on-site at 380 Chapel Road, Sassafras, with the remaining 2 other days per week flexible working remotely or at the TasFoods head office in Launceston, Tasmania.

Role Overview
The Finance Business Partner – Poultry will be responsible for providing analysis and key insights to support the management of costs of production for the TasFoods Poultry business (incorporating the Nichols Poultry and any other poultry related business units). The Finance Business Partner will provide reporting and information to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), General Manager – Poultry, Agriculture Manager and other Senior Executive Team members to allow informed decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining standard costs of raw materials, packaging, machines and finished goods.
  • Producing monthly management accounts variance analysis across labour and production inputs.
  • Producing monthly profit and loss statement analysis for the production operations (and sales team as required).
  • Conducting analysis of all costs.
  • Managing the budgets around all costing issues and provide variance analysis.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate costing systems in relation to labour, production methods and material supply.
  • Ensuring all costs are identified and recorded accurately.
  • Stock reconciliations and co‐ordination of stocktakes and cycle counts.
  • Analysing the P&L and balance sheet accounts to understand the main cost drivers of the business.
  • Play an active role in costing new products.
  • Partnering with the business to determine and implement process improvements.
  • Partnering with General Manager – Poultry, Agriculture Manager, Revenue Manager to assist in the management of Nichols Poultry financial operations.
  • Educating the Production teams on the management of costs.
  • Understand Operational and Production software to ensure that costs are recorded accurately.
  • Assisting with the management of the Nichols Poultry fiancé system and operational management systems.
  • Assist with monthly rolling forecasting and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
  • Provision of advice, recommendations, and assistance in designing business processes and procedures to improve efficiency or organisational effectiveness, whilst understanding the impacts on stakeholders (both internal and external), strategy, systems and general business operations.
Skills & Knowledge Required
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with CA or CPA membership.
  • Demonstrated costing, budgeting and P&L analysis experience in an FMCG and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, self‐motivated, forward-thinking and a proven problem-solver
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer software including Excel, production/costing software and ERP systems (SAPB1 experience would be ideal but not essential).
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
