About the role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role will involve ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial and statutory reporting, tax compliance, and leading a small team. This presents an exciting opportunity with clear progression pathways and the chance to engage with the executive leadership team within an ASX-listed organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Month and year end closing
- Financial and statutory reporting
- Management reporting and variance analysis
- Assisting with Budgeting and forecasting process
- Oversee payroll processing
- BAS, FBT, GST, Indirect tax
- Seek improvements in systems and processes and drive efficiencies
- Assist with preparation and liaise with external auditors for audit process
- Team management and development
- Adhoc operational analysis projects
This opportunity is perfect for a finance professional who is CA or CPA qualified and is making their first or second move from a Big4 or mid-tier accounting firm, preferably in business services or audit. We are looking for someone who can effectively lead a small finance team, think ahead to meet deadlines, and ensure the accuracy of reporting data. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
