Key Responsibilities:
- Lead timely month-end group reporting and submissions, serving as the escalation point for queries in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and review monthly profit and loss statements, providing insightful analysis on operating cost movements.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, troubleshoot issues, and develop/document new accounting and statutory reporting procedures.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate account positions and highlight potential risks.
- Prepare annual financial statements in line with statutory requirements.
- Manage budgeting for depreciation and accounting costs.
- Review and lodge monthly BAS, including GST, PAYG, and FBT obligations.
- Partner with external tax advisors and group tax teams to prepare annual income tax returns, transfer pricing calculations, and fringe benefits tax submissions.
- Coordinate and manage external audit processes to ensure smooth and timely completion.
- Prepare and submit ABS surveys.
- Oversee monthly fixed asset processes.
- Carry out post-stocktake accounting procedures and year-end roll forward.
- Monitor and manage operating cash flow to support business objectives.
- Handle various transactional activities, including employee reimbursements, managing the accounting mailbox, and coding invoices accurately.
- Experience using SAP or similar a ERP.
- CA Qualified, Big 4 background
- Ensure compliance with Payment Times Reporting obligations
- 5 years in finance and accounting
- Audit and statutory reporting experience essential
- Industry experience such as Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing.
