About the Role
This is a broad and hands-on Finance Manager position, suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and working in a close-knit team. The role can be offered on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week) with school-hour flexibility, or full-time depending on your availability.
Reporting to the Director, you’ll manage the finance function across multiple entities, including statutory compliance, project reporting, and cashflow management. The role is ideal for someone who wants to build out processes and bring structure to a growing business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end processing, GL management, and bank reconciliations
- BAS, GST, and FBT lodgements (monthly/quarterly)
- Payroll for up to 10 staff (fortnightly)
- Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Cashflow management and long-term financial planning
- Oversight of SPV structures and intercompany arrangements
- Systems and process improvement across finance function
- Liaising with the Director, external accountants, and project teams
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience across multiple entities
- Background in property development, construction, or project-based industry preferred
- Strong technical skills end to end financial management
- Proven ability to work autonomously and implement systems and controls
- Comfortable in a dynamic, small-business environment
