Sharp & Carter are proud to partner with a reputable organisation for the recruit of a Finance Officer to join a collaborative team, where you’ll support across accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking.

Working within a Shared Services model, this role plays a critical part in keeping financial operations running smoothly. You’ll work closely with a close-knit finance team, contributing to day-to-day transactional activities while supporting accurate reporting, strong controls, and exceptional internal service.

Key responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including EFT payment runs
  • Validate tax invoices and ensure approvals align with financial delegations
  • Raise accounts receivable invoices and manage incoming payments
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate suspense items
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards and administer stop payments and cheque processing
  • Prepare international payments and assist with cash flow analysis
  • Complete financial reconciliations and maintain high-quality financial records
  • Collaborate across the team to meet deadlines and support broader finance outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with records management policies and legislative requirements
What you’ll bring
  • Previous experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable 
  • Working knowledge of GST and FBT as it relates to transactional finance
  • Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
  • Confident computer and keyboard skills
  • A genuine customer-service mindset and collaborative approach
  • The ability to work effectively within a small, supportive team
  • An interest in pursuing (or currently undertaking) tertiary studies in accounting or business will be well regarded
