About the role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support the finance function across reporting, compliance, and process improvements. Working within a collaborative team, you will ensure financial accuracy and contribute to ongoing efficiency initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Assist with budgeting, statutory accounts, and tax compliance (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax)
- Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee staff allowance records
- Support accounts payable, receivable, and general administration functions
- Manage expense systems and credit card reconciliations
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies
- Drive process improvements and contribute to business projects requiring financial input
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards, with at least 3 years of experience in financial accounting
- Strong technical accounting skills with an eye for detail
- Proficiency in financial systems and Excel
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating in a team environment
- Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement
