The role:
A great opportunity has arisen for an astute financial accountant that will assist in implementing new processes and system enhancements. You will be a passionate and driven accountant with an ability to effectively communicate your work across a large finance team. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will contribute to Month end, reconciliations, business partnering and overhead management. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Preparation of month end journals and reporting requirements.
- Monthly reporting preparation and supporting analysis
- Manage deferred revenue, paid to agent & agency commission reconciliations and all other agency related reconciliation accounts
- Investigate and clear daily sales transactions to complete posting to the ledger.
- Work with Inventory teams, Accounts Payable & Financial Accounting team to address reconciling issues and process improvements
- Working with relevant business partners to communicate key variances to budget and providing insight on cost management.
- Support strategic initiatives aimed at ensuring revenue and profit growth.
- Identify and communicate opportunities to improve business performance
- Prepare daily bank reconciliation, working closely with Accounts Payable and Credit Teams
- Adhoc requests and involvement with relevant projects.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
- 3 - 5 Years experience in a similar role.
- Ideal Second move from Big 4 / Mid-Tier.
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards this.
- Experience with Oracle JD Edwards preferred.
- Exposure to retail, FMCG, manufacturing or wholesale industries.
- Strong financial understanding and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
