Role:
This role reports directly to the Head of Finance. The Financial Accountant will help bring newly acquired businesses into the fold, tightening controls, improving reporting, and ensuring financial consistency across the group. It’s a broad, hands-on role with visibility across multiple entities and senior leaders.
This role suits a 'first mover' from Big 4 or Mid Tier Audit looking to apply their technical grounding in a large, fast-moving commercial environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own month-end reporting across multiple entities — P&L, balance sheet and working capital.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring group integrity and compliance.
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses through process alignment and system setup.
- Drive improvements across reporting, controls and data quality
- Manage reconciliations, journals and cash flow reporting.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth compliance cycles.
- Contribute to acquisition projects and help embed financial governance in new businesses.
- Partner with senior leaders to streamline reporting and enhance decision-making.
- CA/CPA qualified or nearly finished.
- Demonstrates sharp analytical thinking, strong attention to detail, and a high degree of numerical accuracy.
- Proven track record of managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
