As a Financial Accountant, you’ll partner closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and Head of Finance to deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain strong controls, and support ongoing improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious, adaptable, and confident challenging the status quo to help build better processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting across multiple entities
- Prepare bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with tax compliance (BAS, IAS, PAYG/PAYE) across AU, NZ and the UK
- Support annual audit preparation and external audit requirements
- Manage prepayments, accruals, deferred revenue, inventory and capex reporting
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and compliance standards
- Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement projects
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and project work
- 2–3+ years’ experience in commercial finance, business services, or audit
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards it
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with systems such as MYOB, Xero or Employment Hero (highly regarded)
- Exposure to multi-entity or fast-growing environments
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders and challenging processes
- A growth mindset and willingness to adapt
