The Role | Reporting to the Finance Manager
Specific duties will include, but not limited to:
- Own the integrity of financial data by maintaining accurate journals, reconciliations, and trial balance oversight across Xero and related subledgers.
- Lead cashflow forecasting and provide regular insights on cash position, sales performance, KPIs, and key cost drivers.
- Build and enhance finance-related business processes, ensuring strong internal controls and transparent, high-quality reporting.
- Conduct financial modelling and analysis to support business improvement initiatives, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
- Deliver timely reconciliations including bank accounts, inter-company balances, AP/AR, inventory, and key balance sheet items.
- Provide meaningful periodic reporting (daily/weekly/monthly) and support variance analysis against budget, including labour and operating expenses.
- Drive cost-control initiatives by analysing expense trends and recommending process, behavioural, or structural improvements.
- Support payroll, AP/AR functions, audits, tax and statutory compliance (BAS, FBT, annual returns) as required.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, ensuring strong communication and effective financial partnership.
- Contribute to major finance projects including documentation of accounting processes and supporting SAP ERP implementation.
CA/CPA with a minimum of 3 years experience in a FMCG, Manufacturing or similar product-based organisation. Interpersonally, you are bright, hungry to learn and display a willingness to assist the wider team.
