This opportunity promises to be an excellent role for a Financial Accountant to develop on existing skills and grow with the business.
The Role
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare quarterly WIP worksheet and process adjustment
- Process monthly direct and indirect wage journals
- Update wage allocation rates
- Prepare and lodge all tax related obligations including managing any tax payment plans
- Assist the external accountant in the preparation of the company financials for quarterly meetings and year end financials
- Assist the Accounts Officer with the quarterly ABS survey
- Assist the Accounts Officer with the annual payroll tax reconciliation
- Process the Annual Taxable Payment Report to the ATO
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified with an accounting or business background. You will have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role and have completed or aspire to complete your CA/CPA. You will have exceptional communication skills, a strong eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
