This is a permanent hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close processes and financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Prepare management reports including branch and departmental performance
- Deliver consolidated reporting to international parent company
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and accounting schedules
- Oversee Australian tax compliance (GST, FBT, IAS, PAYG)
- Support external and internal audit processes
- Manage cashflow forecasting and banking activities
- Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
- Partner with AP/AR teams to improve accuracy and efficiency
About You
- CA/CPA qualified (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, either as a proven Senior Financial Accountant or a mature Financial Accountant who is ready for a step-up
- Strong technical accounting and reporting capability, with proven experience with Australian tax reporting
- Experience working within a regulated environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
