The Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing high quality financial accounting support to ensure compliance, enhance decision making and achieve business goals. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for various business units and corporate cost centres
- Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly journal entries to ensure P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy and completeness
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, addressing review matters promptly
- Prepare weekly financial results, ensuring accurate accounting and cost centre allocations
- Produce regular, accurate, and timely financial reports on performance against budget for the Finance Business Partner
- Ensure accounting for interests in JVs, Associates, and minor entities aligns with accounting policies
- Maintain BPCS/TM1 systems, including GL master data management and period/year-end close
- Support the preparation of SG&A budget and forecasts in accordance with the budget timetable
- Assist the treasury function with banking, payments, and external facility reporting requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in finance / accounting
- An ability to analyse data and information and translate this into useful business insights
- Strong communication skills to assist with stakeholder management
- Prior experience working within a product based industry (FMCG/Retail/Manufacturing/Pharmaceutical) will be beneficial
- CA/CPA qualification preferred but not mandatory
