Operating as a specialist provider and backed by their large parent company, they have been gaining market share and have solid growth plans in place. This 4-5 month contract could see a long term opportunity open up.
The Role
This role will see you leading the finance function. You will partner closely with the senior leadership and other key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate financial decision-making. Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the daily operations of the finance function and a small team across payables and receivables;
- Monthly and year end financial reporting for the organisation;
- Oversee and manage compliance obligations including financial statements and tax etc;
- Oversee all month end activities including reconciliations, journals, accruals and reporting;
- BAS/GST/FBT activities;
- Maintain the asset register;
- Liaise with auditors, address their queries, and prepare audit papers.
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified, ideally working in a similar role with an SME due to the hands on requirements of this role. Technically astute, you will have demonstrated success overseeing the finance function of a successful small sized business. Experience with ERP projects will be advantageous.
