In this role, you will be responsible for the financial control and balance sheet management of the business.
The Role
The main responsibility of this role will be to lead the management of company financials from the front. Specifically with a focus on end to end financial control and optimisation of performance through insights, you will develop strong relationships across the wider business to ultimately drive key initiatives and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct and control financial and administration activities across the organisation to achieve compliance with finance, corporate and statutory matters;
- Supervise and direct the financial, statutory, compliance activities and operational procedures in line with corporate policies and procedures;
- Balance sheet oversight, control, and management;
- Monthly management reporting;
- Statutory reporting and compliance;
- Cashflow reporting;
- Audit liaison;
- Leading and managing a team of 8+ people;
- Commentary on financial reports to assist in decision-support; and
- Ad hoc project work, including ongoing process improvement.
The Person
As the successful candidate, you will be CA / CPA qualified and have extensive experience in managing the balance sheet of a business. You are currently managing a team of both qualified and non-qualified accounting professionals. You lead through energy, empathy and a commitment to your teams learning and development.
