My client is a leading Australian FMCG manufacturer of innovative, high end products for the retail and food service industry across Australia. On the back of an impressive sales pipeline, coupled with major new contracts, the company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to compliment a dynamic finance team supporting the business.
  
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and leading a small team, the Financial Controller is accountable for all aspects of financial management, including cost and financial accounting, management reporting and analysis, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation and internal control policies, procedures and monitoring.
  
Importantly, the Financial Controller needs to be capable at being hands on and at the coal face of financial transaction management, whilst still being able to see the bigger picture and add value not only in the finance function but the business more broadly. 
  
About You
As the demands on the finance function can change often in this dynamic environment, we’re looking for someone that first and foremost is highly adaptable and brings a tremendous amount of energy to the team.
  
Some specifics that we’d also like for you to bring to this opportunity include:

• Excellent attention to detail, and a high sense of pride in the quality of your work;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide insight into the organisation’s financial performance;
• Technically proficient, with an excellent understanding of the Australian Accounting Standards; and
• A recognised accounting qualification such as CA or CPA
