About the Role
This is a transformational Financial Controller role responsible for two premium dealerships in Melbourne. You will play a key part in driving financial performance, process improvement, and automation initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to leadership. The role offers the autonomy to make a real impact on growth and efficiency.
- End-to-end financial control including month-end reporting, half/ year end
- Annual Budgeting and quarterly forecasting
- Prepare and create monthly management packs
- Ensure compliance with governance, ATO, payroll tax, BAS, and other statutory obligations
- Oversee payroll, commissions, and dealership pay runs
- Lead projects to improve processes, efficiency, and automation across reporting and systems
- Support dealership operations with financial insight, decision-making, and performance tracking
- Collaborate with stakeholders, finance teams, and leadership across the network
- CPA or CA qualified (Big 4 or chartered grounding highly regarded)
- Dealership or automotive experience preferred but not essential
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable with strict deadlines, month-end close, and occasional extended hours
- Confident managing multiple priorities across sites and liaising with senior leadership
