Our client is an iconic Australian business, that sits as the powerhouse of their industry. The business has experienced sustained growth and expansion since its inception almost 100 years ago. Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the focus of this role will be to ensure compliance with all reporting requirements. Specifically, your role will include but not be limited to:

• Coach and mentor 3 direct reports
• Manage key stakeholders including; External Auditors, Insurance brokers, Bank relationship managers and the finance team
• Financial reporting of revenue in excess of $500 million per annum, across 13 physical branches and 10 functional business units
• Key contact for the group tax assurance program
• Manage the audit process of the organisation's group
• Preparation of budgets for business partner areas
• Financial statements
• Income Tax return
• Bank signatory

Skills & Knowledge Required: 

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Membership to CAANZ / CPA or equivalent
• Experience with ERP systems
• Advanced excel skills
• Maintain a high standard of delivery on all work, meet deadlines and the ability to motivate personnel
• Display the ability to act in an FC role as required for short periods of time
• Ability to develop rapport to ensure effective working relationships with a broad range of managers and employees
• Lead by example and instil a collaborative working style across the team
