Role:
The Fleet and Equipment Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, assets, and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that our fleet remains in optimal condition to meet operational requirements and safety standards. Your expertise in fleet management will be crucial in overseeing and developing business processes and reporting for the company.

Responsibilities: 
  • Vehicle Management
    • Coordinate and oversee the acquisition, registration, and disposal of company vehicles.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of new vehicles.
    • Oversee vehicle change management activities.
    • Handle all administrative tasks associated with vehicle running costs (maintenance, accident repairs, fuel cards, Etags, registration, fines).
  • Major Plant and Tool Management
    • Maintain and update the national tooling database.
    • Manage the inventory, maintenance, and repair of all company equipment.
    • Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely service.
  • Process Improvement
    • Review and streamline current processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Support the implementation of a best-practice fleet and equipment management system.
    • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management
    • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and overseeing their performance.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Oversee internal compliance with D&E policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in fleet management, preferably in a services or related industry.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative, with a spirit of trust and teamwork.
