They are now looking for a technically strong and commercially savvy Management Accountant to join their Melbourne-based finance team for a long-term contract role.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, your role is broad and hands-on, where you will leverage your technical expertise while providing valuable management accounting support and insights to key stakeholders across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide support with analysis, forecasting, budgeting, business improvement initiatives and business development activities
- Create tools and financial models that facilitate effective decisions making
- Optimise financial systems to extrapolate and interpret meaningful data to respond to stakeholder requests
- Deliver periodical analysis of P&L performance, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow against key benchmarks (e.g., forecast, budget, prior year, etc.)
- Critically assess existing processes/financial models and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide specialist financial advice and training to other team members
- Providing ad hoc accounting and finance support as required
The Candidate
You will be CA/CPA qualified and a highly motivated, high-calibre candidate with previous experience working in a commercially focused environment. You will demonstrate a strong technical understanding, paired with commercial awareness.
