Through our programs, retail social enterprise and community partnerships, we support women to prepare for work, thrive in employment and build brighter futures. Our impact is driven by a passionate team of staff and volunteers, supported by a committed Board and strong community relationships.

We are now seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the organisation into its next chapter of growth and impact.

The opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for a values-driven, commercially minded leader to step into a highly visible role where strategy and hands-on leadership go hand in hand. Working closely with the Board, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation while leading day-to-day operations and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Key responsibilities
As General Manager, you will:

• Lead the organisation’s strategy and oversee operational delivery
• Strengthen long-term financial sustainability and commercial discipline
• Identify and secure new business development opportunities to grow services and reach
• Identify and apply for philanthropic funding and grants
• Oversee and optimise the retail Social Enterprise
• Build strong relationships with corporates, funders, government, employment services and community partners
• Support, empower and inspire staff and volunteers
• Act as a visible advocate for women’s employment, economic participation and workplace equality

About you

You are a senior leader with:

• Proven experience in senior leadership roles
• Strong financial, commercial and business development capability
• A track record of building and managing diverse stakeholder relationships
• The ability to balance purpose with performance
• A collaborative, authentic leadership style aligned to values-led organisations

Experience within not-for-profit, social enterprise or purpose-driven environments will be highly regarded, however mindset, leadership capability and alignment to the mission are most important.
