Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager is responsible for leading the performance of a major sales and equipment business. This role sets and executes strategy, drives revenue and profitability, and leads senior managers across sales and operations.
You will work closely with the senior team and key external partners to grow market share, strengthen customer relationships and deliver operational excellence across the region.
Duties
- Lead sales and equipment strategy and execution
- Drive revenue growth, margin performance and market share
- Oversee sales, fleet and equipment operations across multiple sites
- Lead and develop senior managers and high‑performing teams
- Manage budgets, forecasts and full P&L accountability
- Optimise processes to improve efficiency and customer outcomes
- Build strong relationships with customers and industry partners
- Champion safety, compliance and governance standards
- Use performance data to drive accountability and decision‑making
- Senior leadership experience in sales‑led environments
- Background in heavy equipment, industrial or related industries
- Proven commercial and P&L management capability
- Experience leading multi‑site teams
- Strong strategic, analytical and decision‑making skills
- High‑level stakeholder and executive communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce or a related field
