About the Position
Reporting to Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Vision & Dog Services will oversee Guide Dogs Queensland’s client facing services and Guide Dog Training & Breeding programs. This will include the delivery of integrated, high quality and evidence-based services to people with low vision and blindness whilst utilising Guide Dogs Queensland’s resources as efficiently as possible. You will work closely with the CEO to strengthen Guide Dogs Queensland’s financial sustainability and organisational capability. This is a newly created position, incorporating the merger of two departments and therefore maintaining high levels of customer service is a key priority.
About the Person
We are seeking an experienced operational leader who has previously led multi-disciplinary teams ideally in a disability or human services environment. Key to your success will be your ability to positively impact customer service levels during a period of growth and transition. In addition, you will have proven success leading major projects or changes in operating models highlighting your ability to effectively handle ambiguous and uncertain situations. Your will possess a coaching and mentor leadership style which fosters a cohesive and collaborative team culture. It is highly desirable you come from an allied health background and/or understanding of Guide Dog or assistive dog breeding programs.
