About the role:
They are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to assist the global finance team in a key crunch time and to be a key member to provide both technical financial accounting opportunity to join a vibrant and fast moving business and contribute directly to its continued success. - your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Ownership of the year end financial statements templates, to be approved by external auditor pre Christmas
- Ownership of the management of the year end financial statement process
- Mentoring junior team members
- Reviewing work
- Liaising with external auditors
- Coordinating that all changes are methodically changed in all statements
- Ownership from start to finish of the 4x UK domiciled Holding Company financial statements through to signing
- Ownership of technical accounting memos for external audit e.g. IFRS
- Mentoring junior staff members.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliation reviews and clearing accounts
- Assist with new ERP upgrade testing, in particular consolidation testing Assist with the year end goodwill impairment assessment and memo Assist in the coordination and supply of information for the internal and external audit process.
- CA qualifications (or studying towards)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Big 4 / Mid tier second mover
- Strong ability to deal with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interested in / experienced with staff management
