The role

Reporting to the CFO, this is a pivotal position with enterprise-wide visibility and influence. You will lead the governance and risk function, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to uplift frameworks, strengthen controls and embed a proactive risk culture.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can operate both strategically and operationally—equally comfortable shaping frameworks and rolling up their sleeves to deliver outcomes.
Key responsibilities
  • Lead and continuously improve the organisation’s governance, risk and compliance frameworks
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory change, providing clear, practical advice to the business
  • Oversee internal and external audit processes and strengthen internal controls
  • Manage compliance obligations across ISO standards and integrated management systems
  • Lead key programs including DISP, Modern Slavery and whistleblower frameworks
  • Partner with stakeholders to uplift risk awareness and accountability across the business
  • Support sustainability and climate-related reporting initiatives
  • Drive investigations, compliance projects and reporting to senior leadership
About you
You are a credible and commercially astute risk or compliance professional with the ability to influence at all levels. You bring a pragmatic mindset, strong judgement and a track record of building fit-for-purpose frameworks in complex environments.
You will bring:
  • 5+ years’ experience in governance, risk or compliance roles
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments and corporate governance
  • Experience within manufacturing, supply chain or similarly regulated industries (preferred)
  • Exposure to ISO frameworks and audit processes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to navigate ambiguity
