The role
Reporting to the CFO, this is a pivotal position with enterprise-wide visibility and influence. You will lead the governance and risk function, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to uplift frameworks, strengthen controls and embed a proactive risk culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can operate both strategically and operationally—equally comfortable shaping frameworks and rolling up their sleeves to deliver outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the organisation’s governance, risk and compliance frameworks
- Monitor and interpret regulatory change, providing clear, practical advice to the business
- Oversee internal and external audit processes and strengthen internal controls
- Manage compliance obligations across ISO standards and integrated management systems
- Lead key programs including DISP, Modern Slavery and whistleblower frameworks
- Partner with stakeholders to uplift risk awareness and accountability across the business
- Support sustainability and climate-related reporting initiatives
- Drive investigations, compliance projects and reporting to senior leadership
You are a credible and commercially astute risk or compliance professional with the ability to influence at all levels. You bring a pragmatic mindset, strong judgement and a track record of building fit-for-purpose frameworks in complex environments.
You will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in governance, risk or compliance roles
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments and corporate governance
- Experience within manufacturing, supply chain or similarly regulated industries (preferred)
- Exposure to ISO frameworks and audit processes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to navigate ambiguity
