The Company

Known for their innovative, design-led projects and strong growth trajectory, they are continuing to build on their success and now seek a talented Group Accountant to join their close-knit and high-performing team.

The Role
As Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day financial management of the group, working closely with the CFO and business leaders to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and effective financial management across multiple entities.
This is a hands-on and varied role that will see you involved in everything from management reporting and compliance to budgeting, payroll, and supporting project reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly management financial statements and reports
  • Month-end reporting, including budget vs actual analysis, cashflow forecasts, and loan reconciliations
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS, PAYG, and other statutory obligations
  • Oversee and process monthly payroll
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants to finalise year-end reporting and tax compliance
  • Assist with cashflow management, budgets, and forecasts
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement of financial systems and processes
  • Maintain group registers and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
  • Oversee and mentor junior finance staff
  • Collaborate with the project team to provide accurate and timely project reporting
About You
You are a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You’ll have a strong grounding in accounting and compliance, but also bring commercial awareness and a desire to contribute to the success of a growing business.
Your Background Will Include:
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
  • 3–5 years’ practical experience, within property development, construction, or related industries
  • Solid knowledge of financial reporting, payroll, tax obligations, and compliance
  • Advanced skills in Excel and MYOB
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on approach with a proactive and collaborative mindset
