You will take ownership of statutory reporting, group consolidation and tax compliance across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders including the ELT and shareholders.

This is a hands-on role with clear accountability, well-suited to someone seeking to step out of practice and apply their technical skillset in a complex, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of audited statutory financial statements across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
  • End-to-end preparation of Australian and New Zealand tax returns, including liaison with external tax advisors.
  • Coordination with UK tax consultants to prepare and lodge UK tax returns.
  • Ownership of group consolidation and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Maintenance and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of cash flow statements and balance sheets for budgets and forecasts.
  • Preparation of FBT returns and support broader tax compliance requirements.
  • Reporting to shareholders, including preparation of supporting financial information.
  • Preparation and monitoring of debt covenant reporting.
  • Ongoing commitment to health, safety and environmental policies and compliance.

About You
  • CA qualified, ideally trained within Big 4 or mid-tier audit.
  • 3–5 years’ experience within financial accounting or external audit.
  • Strong technical accounting capability, particularly in statutory reporting.
  • Solid understanding of group consolidation accounting.
  • Ability to independently prepare Australian tax returns.
  • Advanced Excel capability with strong analytical skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

What’s on Offer
  • Competitive package of $120k + Super + Bonus.
  • Hybrid working (4 days in office).
  • A high-visibility role reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
  • Ideal first step into industry with exposure to group-level accounting and tax.
  • Broad scope across statutory reporting, consolidation and compliance.
  • Stable, well-structured finance environment with long-term career opportunity.
