The Role
Reporting into the CFO, the Group Financial Controller is a broad and hands-on role that is responsible for overseeing all accounting related data processing, managing investor and joint venture relationships, company secretarial duties, compliance requirements and responsibilities including, but not limited to the following.
  
- Monthly Consolidated Management Accounts
- Carry out analysis and commentary on company performance 
- Prepare Quarterly board reporting
- Prepare Cash flow forecasting and model update
- Prepare Annual budget
- Annual insurance review
- Review investor interest calculation and statements
- Prepare annual tax statements
- Reconcile investor ledger with operations team
- Prepare and lodge annual withholding report
- Review month end unit pricing calculations
- Monthly portfolio model updating
- Tax and accounting reconciliation
- Review all tax returns and reconcile distribution with Operations team
- Review all external prepared financial statements 
- Review and understand external tax advice
- Train and mentor direct staff
- Manage all accounting and tax affairs for managing director’s family office
- Manage ATO audits (if applicable)
- Oversee deal/portfolio drawdown and fund processing
- Preparation of meeting minutes
- Maintenance of company secretarial files (hard and soft copies)
- Register/deregister entities and maintaining company register
- Organisation Chart maintenance
- ASIC form lodgments for company updates
- Business partner with Joint Venture partners regarding projects
- Preparing monthly project accounts and reconcile to project model
- Process monthly drawdown and payments
- General ledger reconciliation
- Account reconciliations (all G/L accounts)
- Inter-company loan reconciliations
- Payment processing through internet banking
- Bank account opening and closing
