About the role
This is a high impact role, reporting to the Divisional CFO - Corporate. You will be responsible for leading the Group Finance, Treasury and Accounts Payable functions across the organisation. You’ll have oversight of financial governance, reporting, cash flow forecasting, investment strategy, and systems and process improvement. You will be a key contributor to the strategic decisions across Mercy Health’s support services.
This key leadership role will see you working closely with senior leaders to deliver accurate, forward-looking financial analysis and advice that drives better decision-making in addition to driving a culture of business partnering in line with their values and mission.
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and accurate management information and analysis to the executive management team in relation to budgets, forecasts, financial performance, and general financial analysis
- Lead the treasury function including investment oversight, cash flow forecasting, and managing key external investment relationships
- Provide high-quality business partnering to the Support Services division, helping to drive margin improvement and financial sustainability
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory reporting
- Own internal controls, policies, and processes across Finance and Treasury functions, ensuring strong governance and compliance
- Drive process improvement and system enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service delivery
- Develop and lead a capable team, while maximising employee engagement and enablement across the function
You are CA/CPA qualified and have compiled an impressive track record and reputation as a high achieving finance leader in a complex, multi-entity organisation. You are commercially savvy, people-focused who brings strong technical skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence across a broad stakeholder group. You are a big picture forward looking leader who can reason at a conceptual level and drive change, while still maintaining strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
You are a natural leader with a high degree of integrity, you are comfortable to challenge traditional financial practices to deliver better value for the organisaton and the communities it serves. You have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships with senior executives and operational stakeholders. A creative and proactive thinker is required to navigate a dynamic environment and lead through change.
