We are seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Finance to join a senior leadership team and establish a high-impact commercial finance function across the organisation. This is a career-defining role for a finance professional capable of driving commercial rigour, strategic decision-making, and performance optimisation in a dynamic property and construction environment.  The business has strong growth ambitions and is looking for an astute, commercially-minded senior finance professional that is able to partner and influence across the business at a senior level to help drive growth.
  
The Role:

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the creation and implementation of a group-wide commercial business partnering function, providing actionable insights to support strategic planning, pricing, margin analysis, and contract negotiations. You will work closely with operational leaders to influence business decisions, identify growth opportunities, manage commercial risks, and establish frameworks for reporting, KPIs, and dashboards that track performance and value creation.

You will also oversee financial and operational analysis, monitor project profitability, challenge business cases, and ensure accurate commercial decisions across the business. Leadership, stakeholder engagement, and building a high-performing commercial team are core aspects of this role.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the establishment of a commercial finance business partnering function.
• Lead planning, budgeting and rolling forecasting activities
• Partner with operational leaders to support strategic planning, pricing, and margin analysis.
• Provide financial and commercial insights to influence decision-making and identify opportunities.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks for the business.
• Oversee project profitability, operational efficiency, and financial control processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial team.
• Implement streamlined commercial processes, systems, and governance frameworks.

About You:

• Proven experience in a senior commercial finance role within property, construction, or project-based industries.
• Strong background in financial analysis, business partnering, and strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to create and embed commercial business partnering functions.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
