Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Commercial Finance plays a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and commercial performance across the organisation.
Leading the FP&A function, you’ll oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance reporting to deliver the insights that shape strategic decision-making. As a trusted partner to business and executive leaders, you’ll analyse commercial drivers, identify growth opportunities, and lead initiatives that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a commercially minded finance professional who excels in financial modelling, strategic analysis, and collaboration in a complex growth environment.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Lead and manage the FP&A team, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis
• Drive annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
• Monitor financial performance, identify growth opportunities, optimise cost
• Build robust financial models to support scenario planning & strategic decisions
Reporting & Stakeholder Insight
• Ensure all external and internal reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with stakeholder requirements
• Define and track KPIs, promote commercial understanding, and embed accountability across teams
• Communicate financial results, insights, and risks effectively to the Executive and business leaders
Business Partnership & Strategic Support
• Partner with business units to analyse performance, assess risks and opportunities, and deliver ROI improvements
• Develop business cases, cost–benefit analyses, and concise papers to guide Executive decision-making
• Support the CFO and Executive in acquisitions, due diligence, integration, and strategic initiatives
• Provide financial guidance on growth, investment, and M&A decisions, partnering with leaders on key initiatives
Leadership & Culture
• Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team, driving capability, accountability, and excellence
• Model business values and behaviours, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and performance-focused culture
Skills and Experience
- CA / CPA Qualified
- High proficiency in financial modelling
- Experience in modelling, pricing, profit & cost modelling
- Excellent communication to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to deliver financial results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, passionate about growth and development of a team
