The Head of Finance is a key leadership role partnering directly with the Director of Operations, supporting the National Operations team in achieving their strategic business objectives. This role will partner with a range of business units to provide decision support, analysis, and insights to support the executive team in achieving their strategic ambitions. This role will work closely with retail brands and have a key focus on delivering initiatives.
Duties
- Lead the budget, forecast and month end process involving alignment of business units and communication of initiatives
- Analyse key financial and non-financial drivers to support the analysis and identification of productivity and transformational initiatives within retail
- Build business cases to measure and report against initiative KPIs
- Partner the leadership and finance teams, in particular operations identifying risks and opportunities
- Ensure alignment of cost saving initiatives and performance reporting within brands
- Provide insights to support the business in making decisions with a customer-centric focus
- Support project analysis to drive improved returns on capital investments and business initiatives
- Drive process improvement in the finance reporting function to support an improved reporting framework
- Encourage continuous improvement, automation and implement best practices through robust processes
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to a high performing team
Skills and Experience
- CA / CPA Qualified
- 12+ years finance experience
- Management of multi-functional teams ideally within FMCG / Retail
- Experience in delivering productivity/transformational activities
- Advanced leadership, coaching, mentoring and development skills
- Excellent communication to liaise with a broad audience
- Understanding of retail operations
- Excellent staff product allowance
