As the Head of IT/CIO, this pivotal role entails overseeing all facets of Aeroklas's information technology systems and services. It involves shaping Aeroklas’s technology strategy to align seamlessly with their business objectives and driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, security, and performance.
The Role
As a direct report to the CEO, the Head of Technology/CIO will spearhead the leadership and management of the Technology team and its functions, fostering collaboration both internally and with third-party vendors to optimise Aeroklas’s technology performance. This role carries the responsibility for developing the organisation’s systems and infrastructure, necessitating the crafting of a strategic vision in alignment with business objectives. Serving as the primary expert on all technology matters, the Head of IT will provide invaluable advice to the business on its technology goals. Moreover, with oversight of Aeroklas’s information technology systems and services, this pivotal role entails shaping the technology strategy to ensure seamless alignment with business objectives and driving continuous improvement for heightened efficiency, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with Aeroklas's goals, focusing on leveraging technology for innovation and competitive advantage.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture while providing guidance for success.
IT Operations and Support: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of systems and networks, while optimizing IT support services and vendor relationships.
Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Software Development and Applications: Manage the development, deployment, and maintenance of critical business applications, prioritizing projects to meet stakeholder requirements.
Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Implement and maintain rigorous cybersecurity measures to safeguard digital assets and sensitive information, staying updated on emerging threats and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, preferably within medium-sized businesses.
- Strong technical expertise across infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, and project management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of driving organizational change.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, delivering innovative IT solutions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL are advantageous.
