Company: We are a leading private equity-backed food manufacturer known for our high-quality products supplied across both retail and wholesale sectors. Located in Melbourne’s southeast, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and is home to 450 dedicated employees. With continued growth, our client is seeking a dynamic HR Manager to join our team and support the expanding operations.

The Role: As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing robust HR frameworks to support the business's scaling efforts. Your expertise will be crucial in talent management, leadership coaching, workforce planning, and recruitment. You will also lead various projects, including updating HR systems, to ensure the operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement HR Frameworks: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy to support scaling.
Employee Relations: Manage and strengthen employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures. Address and resolve complex employee relations issues including investigations, case management and performance improvement plans, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
Talent Management: Identify and develop top talent within the organization to ensure a strong succession pipeline.
Leadership Coaching: Upskill managers and guide them in evolving into effective leaders who can inspire their teams and drive performance.
Workforce Planning: Manage shift patterns and seasonal worker requirements, ensuring workforce flexibility and efficiency.
Recruitment: Lead the recruitment process to attract high-caliber candidates, fulfilling the organizational talent needs.
HR Projects: Spearhead projects aimed at enhancing HR systems and processes, contributing to the overall improvement of HR services.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the manufacturing sector or similar fast-paced environments.
  • Strong background in employee relations, talent management, leadership development, and workforce planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and proficiency in implementing HR projects.
