A successful Australia business with over 50 years experience in their field, is seeking a motivated and driven HR Manager to join their dynamic team. With a client first attitude they have grown successfully and organically over the years and have a strong presence and reputation in the market. Based in Melbourne's North, working among a close knit team with flexible working arrangements, this role is offering a busy and challenging opportunity for an experienced HR professional, with exposure to Payroll, to commence in a new role.
Position Description
This position will be a busy role where no two days are the same! You will have a strong desire to predominantly manage the HR function and simultaneously co-ordinate the end to end payroll function for the business, with strong business acumen. Your duties will include the following:
- Oversee HR operations including recruitment, organisational development, performance management, mobility, remuneration and benefits
- Ensure the recruitment process is adhered to business-wide, administer and prepare employee contracts and relevant paperwork, onboard new starters and run inductions
- Develop and assist in the implementation of policies, procedures and systems to achieve HR objectives
- Facilitate relevant training and development activities
- Coordinate the annual salary review process for employees
- End to end payroll duties for 70+ employees including; processing payruns, interpretation and application of EBA and awards, prepare and lodge payroll tax and superannuation, process annual leave etc
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a similar position, and a passion for human resources
- Demonstrated payroll experience
- Strong attention to detail & exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to deliver multiple outcomes within tight time frames and manage different priorities
- Passion for compliance – good moral, ethical and legal ‘compass’
- Relevant qualifications a definite advantage
