We are partnering with a Tier 2 Mining business in their search for a well-rounded, FIFO Infrastructure Engineer. This role offers autonomy, a broad range of duties spanning the entire IT function and opportunities to work on a range of state-wide and national projects. The business is in excellent shape moving into the new financial year, having gone from strength to strength over the last few years. The Role
You will be taking responsibility for the entire function on site, covering everything from systems to networks to CCTV, telephony, wifi and more. With 400+ end users, this role is integral to the smooth running of complex daily operations across multiple sites. With no two days the same, the role will include everything from day-to-day support queries to entire site redeployments.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and maintaining desktop and laptop computers, servers, network equipment, cybersecurity systems, telephone systems, and other IT infrastructure elements.
- Offering user support, which includes expanding and enhancing documentation
- Strengthening and overseeing site cybersecurity measures.
- Collaborating with the corporate IT team to create, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures, including system documentation.
- Managing and liaising with specialised external service providers when necessary.
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant IT experience.
- Previous experience in a FIFO role is desirable.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications, certifications, and training in IT.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Windows OS, including Hyper-V, Windows Server, AD, and Exchange Server.
- Exceptional customer focus with professional communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a broad multitasking capability.
- Substantial experience in a comparable site-based role, preferably in the resources sector.
- A current WA class C manual driver’s license.
