About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager will lead the Audit team as the organisation's third line of defence, providing independent assurance to the Board, Executive Management, and Audit Committee regarding the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and procedures, and adherence to best practices and regulations.
  
Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the annual risk-based Internal Audit Plan for the international firm alongside the Head of Internal Audit and Senior Internal Audit Manager.
  • Scope and execute individual audit reviews across the international firm in line with the approved Internal Audit Plan, ensuring technical excellence and a pragmatic approach, including risk and control identification, and drafting audit tests.
  • Coach and review the work of Internal Auditors to ensure quality and adherence to audit objectives.
  • Prepare structured internal audit reports summarising agreed audit findings for completed audits.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, best practices, laws, and regulations across the international firm and contribute to ad-hoc assurance reviews and deep dives as requested.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation and build effective relationships with stakeholders
  
Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary education and qualified audit professional - (ACA, ACCA, CIA)
  • External Audit experience from BIG4 or Mid-tier accounting firm
  • Exposure in an internal audit role managing a small team in an industry environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver internal audit plans and practical experience in full circle audit procedure
  • Outstanding proficiency in verbal and written communication, characterized by clarity and precision
  • Be a self-starter who can naturally lead a team and collaborate cross functionally
