Role

The IT Support Officer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users. They are also responsible for resolving any IT-related faults quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to system diagnostics, plus enhancing and developing the IT provision extended within the business. The IT Support Officer is responsible for the provision of a wide range of first and second level support services that includes desktop support, computer lab support, server administration, technical advice and client specific technical IT support depending upon the services required.

Responsibilities 
  • Provide first point of IT Support contact for all  staff
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Assisting staff through a series of actions, either face to face; email or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate to supplier or IT Manager as required
  • Log all incidents and service requests in designated IT Support system
  • Manage IT Support tickets, planning and prioritising systematically to minimise backlog and ensure operational efficiency
  • Ensure system and data security is maintained at a high standard, ensuring the integrity of the network is not compromised
  • Expedite the repair of hardware faults and software configuration problems, notifying or forwarding to relevant suppliers in a timely manner
  • Monitor performance of systems, ensuring issues are appropriately escalated and resolved
  • Demonstrate commitment to and promotion of a culture of service excellence and continual improvement within the IT team
  • Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with key suppliers, conducting dealings in a professional and appropriate manner
  • Assist with ongoing development of related company policies and procedures, including appropriate controls around organisational change management
What you will have:
  • Mac and PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
  • 2 years+ experience working in a Windows/Mac environment
  • High calibre of desktop support in a Microsoft environment including Micro
  • Active Directory Maintenance Experience soft Office Standard 2010
  • PC connectivity – Conserver knowledge
