The Role
My client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join the finance team. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure within a global organisation, supporting financial operations across multiple markets. The successful candidate will contribute to accurate reporting and the efficient running of daily finance activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Process employee expenses, invoices, and supplier payments
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and supporting schedules.
- Help maintain and update financial records in compliance with internal policies and Australian accounting standards.
- Provide administrative support during audits, including gathering documentation and preparing reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support finance-related queries
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently completing studies).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple tasks
- Up to 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance support role (internships included).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
