Our client is looking for an ambitious and energetic Junior Analyst to join the finance team, assisting with banking processes, financial reporting analysis and cash flow management. The role would suit a pro-active candidate who is keen to learn and immerse their skills in an analytical, fast paced environment.
The successful applicant would need to exhibit a keen eagerness to learn whilst also being given exposure and a first-hand insight into how large organisations manage their cash, working capital and debt structure.
The Responsibilities:
You will assist with a number of different tasks which include (but are not limited to)
- Complete daily bank reconciliations.
- Preparing monthly journal entries.
- Fixed asset maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of cashflow reporting, including monthly management reports and quarterly statutory reports.
- Assist in the maintenance of cashflow and working capital models, and provide improvements to refine existing models.
- Provide insightful analysis on results and identify trends relevant to the business.
- Assist in preparation of funding plans for acquisitions and other large cash movements.
- Assist in preparation of the Annual Budget for cashflow, capital expenditure and working capital.
The successful applicant will have:
- Relevant undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Vlookup Pivot Table Must have - VBA/Macro knowledge preferred)
- Some previous finance/accounting experience is preferred (1-4 years)
