Our client is looking for an ambitious and energetic Junior Financial Accountant to join a high performing Finance team and drive business growth. This opportunity promises to be an excellent role for a Junior Financial Accountant to develop on existing skills and grow with the business.
The role
Reporting to the Group FC, the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Monthly financial reporting
- Performing all bank reconciliations
- Assist the external auditors when required
- Preparation of all payments such as staff reimbursements, and petty cash
- Management of Accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure compliance of statutory accounts with all relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements
- Help develop and implement best practice financial policies and procedures ensuring they align with group policy
- Maintain open communication and ensure active collaboration across stakeholder groups
The Candidate:
- Tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree or equivalent
- Completed or close to completion of CA/CPA studies
- 2-5+ years professional accounting experience
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards
- Proficient experience using MS Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookups, etc)
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to demonstrate initiative and have good attention to detail are essential
