Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and build end-to-end data analysis products from data acquisition into our Azure Data Lake, through to data curation in Databricks, and the presentation of insights through Power BI.
  • Align all parts of the technical design with the client's best practice cloud data architecture, ensuring technical quality control and provisioning technical support throughout all stages of the product lifecycle from implementation through to BAU maintenance.
  • Partner with our Sales and Marketing teams, gathering requirements and providing effort estimates and delivery timelines, as well as developing and delivering projects within the agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Mentor and guide local tech and commercial teams to mature their analytics capabilities, whilst collaborating closely with our regional and global Tech and Analytics teams to ensure all initiatives are strategically aligned to the client's objectives and ways-of-working.
  • Gather technical requirements and provide effort estimates and delivery timelines.
  • Design, develop and deliver high quality analytics products, within the agreed timeframes and budgets.

Your Background:
  • Substantial experience working with business users and translating their requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end product delivery of data solutions within a cloud-based environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, partnering closely with business stakeholders, offering ongoing support to functional and technical team members, while working in a complex organisation on the path to becoming more data-driven.
  • Solid hands-on experience in Python and SQL essential; Databricks experience is highly desired.
  • Significant capabilities in Power BI are expected.
  • Azure Data Lake (Delta lake / Lakehouse architecture) knowledge will be highly regarded, while exposure to Azure Data Factory is also beneficial in this role.
  • Previous experience with the Azure and Power BI cloud technology stacks.
  • Strong capabilities modelling data from a variety of data sources (structured and unstructured) into analytics products that produce actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data pipelining, distributed data processing, software engineering components and data modelling concepts.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps highly regarded.
  • Experience with Machine Learning technologies (Azure ML) and algorithms would be a bonus.
  • A consulting background would be beneficial, but not required.
