The Position:
The Learning & Development Manager will be based onsite across sites in western Melbourne five days a week. They will mentor a team of training officers, overseeing the management, maintenance, and delivery of training to a large manufacturing workforce. Their role is to ensure that the workforce possesses the necessary skills aligned with the food processing operation's requirements while upholding company values, policies, and procedures.
  
Please note there is regional travel required for this position.
  
Key responsibilities:
  •  On-the-Job Learning Support: Providing assistance for employee learning and development through on-the-job training initiatives.
  • Training Course Management: Managing the scheduling of training courses, including e-learning options, to facilitate skill enhancement.
  • Learning Resources Development: Contributing to the creation and upkeep of learning materials and resources to support ongoing training efforts.
  • Database Coordination: Coordinating the maintenance of the training database for efficient tracking of training progress.
  • Work Instruction Assistance: Assisting departments in the development of clear and effective work instructions to streamline processes.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Regularly reviewing and updating training needs analysis in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Skills and Experience:
  • Management experience required.
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment
  • Experience working in a large dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Effective multitasker with autonomous or team-oriented work capability.
  • Strong communication skills, organization, leadership, and initiative.
