This person will play a pivotal role in leading the professional development of the Maintenance team, while having a strong focus on line and operational efficiency to improve productivity and equipment reliability. Key responsibilities:
- Guide the maintenance team to ensure efficient maintenance in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.
- Create and execute a site reliability plan to enhance production efficiency and reduce operational and maintenance costs.
- Oversee life cycle asset management and track reliability metrics and reports.
- Ensure high machine effectiveness and production plan execution to support internal and external customer needs.
- Optimise maintenance systems for improved service delivery.
- Promote safety practices, monitor safety KPIs, and actively support safety policies and initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to maximise asset reliability and efficiency.
- Perform root cause analyses and implement measures to prevent recurring failures.
- Collaborate with the Production team and other departments on continuous improvement projects to boost operational performance.
- Trade qualification - it is desirable to have a tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- Strong leadership & people management - performance management and encouraging further learning & development.
- Proven track record in a fast paced manufacturing environment - food & beverage or related industry.
- Strong systems experience - SAP ERP & MEX CMMS.
- Knowledge and understanding of PLC programming.
- Experience and understanding of Lean principles.
