The organisation is part of a large multinational food manufacturing group with operations across Australia and New Zealand. The business supplies critical ingredients into the food manufacturing sectors and operates highly regulated, complex manufacturing facilities.
The site is undergoing a period of operational improvement and requires a practical, hands on Maintenance Manager to help stabilise the maintenance systems, improve CMMS effectiveness and lift site reliability.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end maintenance function at this manufacturing facility. This is not a corporate maintenance role. You will be working as part of a tight-knit 3 person team . The site does utilise a number of contractors as well.
- Lead all site maintenance activities across the manufacturing site
- Own maintenance planning and scheduling thorugh the CMMS (MEX)
- Ensure site compliance with Worksafe, food safety, quality and EPA requirements
- Manage maintenance budgets and capital works
- Control critical spares and contractor performance
- Partner with production, quality and warehouse teams to drive reliability
- Implement practical CI projects to reduce downtime and cost
- Trade qualified (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Background in a process manufacturing environment (FMCG will be highly regarded but we are open to other types of linear process manufacturing environments e.g. building materials, chemicals etc.)
- Proven ability to manage maintenance budgets and develop capital business cases.
- Practical, down-to-earth leadership style - you enjoy being on the floor with your team.
